WEEKLY WRAP: Three super funds combine as a 'package deal'

QIEC Super, Club Super and Mercy Super jointly appoint State Street as custodian. In what is believed to be a "first" for the industry, three superannuation funds have combined to invite tenders for custodian services as a "package deal".

Vanguard Australia (Vanguard) announced its plans to launch the Vanguard FTSE Emerging Markets Shares ETF, with Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) ticker code VGE. Subject to regulatory approvals, it is anticipated that VGE will be quoted for trading on the ASX by mid-November 2013.

Local Government Super (LGS) has appointed Joanna Davison to its Board. Ms Davison replaces Ian Robertson who has resigned after 16 years as a Director on the Board.
