Offer clients a peek behind the scenes

Clients might not understand how much work goes on behind the scenes, including the on-going education and the technical aspects of advice.

That’s why the FPA has announced a Client breakfast, which will kick start Your Inaugural Professionals Congress.

Platinum Asset Management CEO Kerr Neilson is going to host the event, and will cover topics that relate to clients and planners. Access is also granted to the exhibitor’s hall, so advisers can share a bit more knowledge with their clients about the planning process.

“The opportunity for planners to take their clients through the re-vamped exhibition hall means they have a rare chance to walk their clients through the more technical aspects of the profession and demonstrate their commitment to self-development and best practice,” says FPA CEO Mark Rantall.

The function includes access to the first plenary session, opened by VC winner Benjamin Roberts-Smith.

“Roberts-Smith is a shining example of dedication to a cause,” says Rantall. “One focused on changing lives for the better. It’s a cause we all share and we are proud to bring this to delegates and their clients.

“We may not be risking our lives, but helping improve all Australians’ lives through better financial planning and security, particularly in retirement, is a cause worth fighting for and one that the FPA is always working towards.”

Author and renowned international speaker, Carl Richards CFP, is the second speaker and will use simple sketches to make complex financial concepts come to life, and Erin Brockovich will close the event.
