CBA snaps up more advisers

Newly re-branded Eureka Whittaker Macnaught will double the scale of its business this year, as it takes on former Whittaker Macnaught clients.

Thirteen former Whittaker Macnaught advisers will move under CBA’s Financial Wisdom AFSL to establish advice practices from 1 July. Financial Wisdom practices Eureka Whittaker Macnaught and MSI Taylor will also expand to advise former clients of Whittaker Macnaught.

According to CBA Wealth Management Advice, yesterday’s announcement was the final aspect of its decision to close the Whittaker Macnaught AFSL and transition clients to practices authorised under the Financial Wisdom AFSL.

Eureka Whittaker Macnaught and MSI Taylor will expand to Brisbane and the Gold Coast respectively. Eureka Whittaker Macnaught’s CEO Greg Cook said this would double the scale of their business and is a big step in their plans for a national footprint.

“We are delighted to service clients associated with the prestigious Whittaker Macnaught business and look forward to providing our existing and Whittaker Macnaught clients with excellent financial planning solutions under our new brand.”

MSI Taylor’s financial planning partner, Conrad Gilbert said the Gold Coast was a natural fit for its expansion.

“We have been in practice in Brisbane for more than 40 years and have built up our business over this time to provide our clients professional advice in accounting and financial business broking, as well as financial planning.”
