One advice firm has been acknowledged above businesses from other industries, as one of Tasmania’s best.
The Telstra Business Awards, announced last week, were launched to recognise the achievements of small and medium businesses. Collins SBA Complete Wealth Specialist represented the vital role the advice profession plays in the community, and was announced winner of the Medium Business Award.
Judges said Collins SBA “had created an effective one-stop-shop for wealth creation”. The business integrates accounting, financial planning and lending professionals to advise SME owners and individuals.
Principal wealth adviser Jonathan Elliot is excited about what the award means for the whole advice profession, because that they were up against businesses across a range of industries.
“Given that we do what all good advisers do – we work hard to deliver advice and outcomes that will enable our clients to achieve the financial security and future they deserve – I believe our award is something wealth professionals across Australia can be proud of as it puts our profession as a whole in a positive light.”
Elliot is making sure advice gets a good reputation locally too, taking out the Hobart City Council Exceptional Customer Service award – which recognized their customer service alongside more ‘traditional’ winners, such as retailers.
CEO Michael Spinks said, “Whilst the awards were dominated by tourism businesses, it is great to see a business from Tasmania’s financial sector, which itself helps small and medium businesses to grow and prosper, recognised as medium business category winner.”
Financial Design for Life was also a finalist for Best Small Business in Victoria.
