Andy Marshall will now be responsible for developing, promoting and delivering Zurich’s life insurance schemes with distribution partners and research houses.
Marshall was previously Life Risk general manager for Zurich in Victoria, and has more than 20 years financial services experience across roles including sales management, staff development and underwriting. He also has seven years’ experience as a financial planner.
Philip Kewin, general manager of Retail, Life & Investments, said Marshall’s extensive background in sales coaching, strategic marketing and presenting, along with his deep technical knowledge and extensive social media presence make him a perfect fit for the role.
“Andy is passionate about working with advisers and comes to the role fresh from overseeing record sales growth for Zurich in Victoria and Tasmania; the fact that we are able to promote internally to such a senior position speaks volumes about the depth of our team.”
Marshall replaces Marc Fabris, who was promoted to the global role of head of New Distribution for Zurich late last year.
Zurich employs around 60,000 people serving customers in more than 170 countries. The company’s headquarters are in Zurich, Switzerland, where it was founded in 1872.
Zurich Financial Services Australia announced today it has appointed a new national head of sales strategies and research to its life risk sector.
