A SMSF administration business that has been ranked as the number one administration provider has been purchased by wholesale superannuation solutions provider OneVue.
The business, which was formerly owned by Super Managers Australia, will become a subsidiary of OneVue and be rebranded as “SMSF
In 2013 it was ranked by AFR Smart Investor
magazine as the number one SMSF
provider for premium service.
Under OneVue it will remain Melbourne-based and will retain all staff, said OneVue group CEO Connie Mckeage.
They will include client investment and SMSF
services manager Peter Renner, senior accountant Salvatore Solano and accountant Adam James.
Mckeage said the purchase complements the existing administration business that OneVue is renowned for and will also extend SMSF
services into the areas of tax and audit.
Managers will have the ability to grow via wholesale arrangements with partners of OneVue and the opportunity to accelerate our growth ambitions in the SMSF
sector together is very appealing.”
The opportunity is as much about strengthening services and capabilities offered to existing clients as it is creating opportunities for new ones, Mckeage said.
She is thrilled to retain the expertise of the former Super Managers Australia team who bring with them a dedicated client base.
“Peter [Renner] has been with Super Managers Australia for 12 years and prior to that worked with companies such as AMP
and IOOF. He has been in the superannuation industry since 1998 and is a certified practicing accountant as well as a registered tax agent and ASIC registered SMSF
auditor,” she said.
Salvatore Solano has been with the business since 2006 and has experience across a number of suburban and CBD-based accounting practices, while Adam James joined the company last year and is responsible for the SMSF
fund processing and completing personal and trust tax returns, Mckeage said.
