Australian fund manager wins international awards

The International Alternative Investment Review (IAIR) Global Awards were held on Friday and Australia was represented in the winner’s circle by credit specialist fund manager La Trobe Financial.

In the Global Asset Management Category the winners were; MFS Boston, Russell Investments for asset rating in China, UBS Zurich for ETFs, and La Trobe Financial for excellence in mortgage fund management – Independent – Australia, and excellence and innovation in Australian management.

The Gala Dinner was held at Sheraton Towers in the heart of the financial district of Hong Kong and was attended by more than 500 people covering fund managers, international banks, law firms, family offices and institutional investors. Winners are chosen through a survey of more than 15,000 investors worldwide.

“Our core values and a thorough understanding of the business environment in which we operate all contribute to this,” said CEO Greg O’Neill, accepting the award. “We are very proud to accept these two international Awards on behalf of our hardworking staff and investors.”
